The
Breed History
The Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldog’s origin
is somewhat undocumented and unverifiable
before 1979. Authorities differ so completely
about the origin of the Alapaha that the
name itself is in dispute. However, the
Alapaha is one of the few breeds that are
emblematic of this storied Nation and there
is little doubt that a species resembling
the Alapaha has existed for over two hundred
years in the Southern enclaves.

Rustler Kennels History
I got my first Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldog
in April of 1989 from Mr. William Chester
of Dublin, GA. I purchased Coleman’s
Bramah Blu whose down from Siver Dollar
stock in Chester’s BOSS × Waldron’s
Ole Miss and I purchased Coleman’s
Baby Blue two months later she's down from
Chester’s BOSS × Carpenter’s
Dutchess, a pure Old Southern White brood
bitch I later purchased at the ripe age
of 6 years as part of my foundation stock.
Dutchess was an outstanding female, she
was perfectly built, had a very good temperament
and she produced some of the best Alapaha’s
I've ever seen.
